Humble Bundle is Joining Forces with IGN!

Honestly, I know very little about IGN beyond seeing the occasional comedy review score.

Don't see why it's necessarily going to be a bad thing. It's not like IGN have form for absorbing and screwing up smaller companies, as far as I'm aware

One of the things I found out today is that humble bundle are starting to publish their own games.

It's not hard for this to be a conflict of interest.
Humble bundle publish the game ign reviews the game and gives it a high score. People rush to buy the game = profit.

I just hope that the amount of money that was going to charities before is still going to be the same amount.
It wouldn't suprise me if the amount they donated dropped due to "increasing costs"

Eh we'll have to see and I really hope for the best, but when do businesses ever get acquired to be left as is, especially when there's an obvious (if shady) synergy to be had?

Does IGN even cover the sort of low-budget games Humble will have in the pipeline? (I've no idea)

I bet there was, basically, almost zero crossover between people who read ign and people who buy humble bundles. I mean that pretty seriously.

I would, therefore, expect the bundles to carry on rather unchanged; they keep on selling to their market, whilst IGN itself introduces its audience to the Humble Store (the bundles having previously acted as something of a loss-leader to get its demographic of people through the doors to buy from the profitable store pricing)
