I've redeemed my minecraft key, and downloaded the exe, but when I try to login it says not downloaded, and I cant find how to make it download the full game.

Strange, not had a chance to redeem mine yet, but i did hear a friend say he had to copy something into %appdata% but not sure exactly what and may be completely wrong.

I'll try and have a look unless someone who has experience can report before me

I copied the exe to the appdata folder that is specified in the options setting, but still nothing happens. I'll try emailing their support.

You have to buy it for 15 euros.

I was planning on trying it first sometime today, but the support forum is a hopeless place of 'If its not working, turn it off and back on again' type of dummy advice.

Ok I just tried it on my main PC, ran the .exe (just directly from FF download manager) and prompted for a login, once logged in it then downloaded the necessary files for me, which are saved in %appdata% as .minecraft.

So it seems strange your having problems, could try seeing if you have that folder? And try deleting it and re-running the .exe.

Will try deleting and downloading it again.

Downloaded the file again, it does nothing, I tried both the windows EXE files.

Did you try downloading the alternative .exe from the site? Also have you tried running as administrator?

Hmm very strange, so when initially trying to play, you downloaded the exe, placed it on your desktop and ran it, still receiving the same error?

I have downloaded the EXE to E:/Minecraft, Desktop, and copied it to the appdata folder.

Tried running it from all 3 locations and it wont update!

Good thing I didnt pay for it yet.

I have uploaded the files I have minus login details, just extract them in AppData/Roaming, then try logging in again.

Yup, I can log in on the site, trying to log into the game says server unavailable.

It just worked now and logged me in so its fine now
