I need this testing on different systems, its a small map with a lot of Collision Physics Grass, its going to be very hard on the CPU, but i also need to know how different GPU's deal with the amount of Polygons

Download the 5 Zip files, extract them and use the .exe to install. Use 7zip, Winrar doesn't like them.

https://drive.google.com/folderview...9wNjVDMkt0Z3l1ai1wa2lGN29jQVlueW8&usp=sharing

Some of the menu items are not yet debugged, i have marked in red the ones not to use and ones you can use in green, see spoiler below

To run the Benchmark simply load up the map as normal and use Shift + Print-Screen keyboard shortcuts, please don't hit anyother keys, let the Benchmark run to completion, when its done it will take you back to the main menu, simply exit the game.

The results should be in C:\Humbug\TestResults there is a text file named timedemo

Thats what i need you to paste here, it should look like this.

Please add you system specs and what Game IQ setting you used, thanks :)

==============================================================
TimeDemo Play Started ,Level=Humbug_Playground_Test (Total Frames: 8659, Recorded Time: 170.22s)
Run Finished.
Play Time: 170.46s, Average FPS: 50.80
Min FPS: 13.20 at frame 933, Max FPS: 161.55 at frame 7349
Average Tri/Sec: 8516036, Tri/Frame: 167644
Recorded/Played Tris ratio: 1.08
Memory Usage: WorkingSet=627Mb, PageFile=838Mb, PageFaults=1278485
AutoTest Play Ended, (1 Runs Performed)
==============================================================

If you want to look around in the map thats fine, please do, shoot at the Grass, see how it behaves.... if you don't like screen tearing and want V-Sync here is how.

Go to C:\Humbug and find the System file, open it up, where it says r_VSync=0 change 0 to 1 so it looks like this r_VSync=1

Thanks and feel free to give me any feedback :)

telling me the zip files are corrupt :(

On trying to extract them?

It should be 5 files, Playground.zip001 to 005, extract them into a folder starting with 001, what you should end up with is ten 500MB .pak files and one .exe

I used 7zip to compress them in Windows zip format, try using 7zip

Not sure if useful to you 'bug as I have a rather oddball system but here you go :)

System:

AMD fx-9590 4.7GHz
295X2 1018/1250
Asus Crosshair Formula Z
16GB DDR3 2133Mhz

"Very High" Quality
3840x2160 resolution
Fullscreen

I just did another run this time with AFR friendly Crossfire enabled, probably not useful to you but was curious so tried it out.
Same specs but with 295X2 + 290X AFR friendly @ 2160p.

Thats useful thanks, i have the same system, almost.

I can't run it at 4K as VSR only lets me do up to 1800P

@ slick rick, thanks, a lot less pollys but still not getting the frame rates up, does it look like you are suffering badly from CPU bottlenecking?

Please try @ 1080P just to confirm.

I cant seem to extract the files, even with 7zip.

Ok thanks, do what flibby or slick rick did, next time i will use more universal compression methods.

Another one to confirm ^^^

Here ya go!

1080p very high

Yeah, see that, @ 4K the draw call thread becomes completely saturated causing massive latency, the GPU with an enormus amount of power is constantly waiting on the DX11 API for instructions.

The CPU while not brilliant at this is really not bad at all, pretty good actually, nearly as good as savagesam117's 4690K, until the API gets to the point where is cannot deal with it, i have to find a way of reducing Draw Calls as the res goes up.

Thanks for your help.

Oh it will ^^^^ trust me it will!!!!! :)

HT giving that bit of extra umph, thanks Tommy.

Very nice humbug, quite impressive for a hobbyist such as your self.

Good to see use of multiple threads aswel.

Spec.

Xenon 5650 @ 4.4GHz
8GB ram
1920*1200 very high fullscreen
NVidia 970 @1512 boost 7970 memory

Thanks Bru, a lot of it is down to Crytek's brilliant engine but i did do some work on good thread optimisation.

I'm always whining about threading in games so i didn't want to fall into a trap of being a hypocrite  I can't do anything about the call thread tho....

Love them Xenon 5650, they are still such power house CPU's, even by todays standards, i would have one in a heartbeat but while the CPU's are easy to get i cannot find a good X58 board.

Ok I got SLI partially working, when it is working its 99% per card with over 100% scaling, though for large parts of it (maybe 40% or so of the time?) it drops out to single card split load, so 52% one card 48% the other for example. All I did was add the .exe to the crysis 3 profile in Nvinspector.

2560x1440 - very high
4770K @ 4.6ghz
8GB DDR3 @ 2400 11-11-10
780 SLI @ 1110/6200

The card load splitting; was that before of after you added it to C3 in Nvinspector?

PS: for anyone reading this where SLI or CF isn't working, the Crysis 3 or Ryse Son Of Rome Profile should work, tho you may not notice it much as there is VERY HIGH CPU load in this, or rather API load but...yeah.

Before I added it, it was just running single card, second card sat idle, if its different I'll try the ryse profile. Cpu usage wasn't that high, maybe 20-30% on the 4 physical cores I was monitoring.

Will have another play around with it tonight, as if I can get it to sit 90%+ on both cards for the duration I should be looking 70-80fps average.

I also shot a turtle in the face.

:D
My poor turtles :( :p
