humming ps3

guys this happened with my last ps3 also, when i play the ps3 on hdmi everything is fine. whenever i watch my tv via scart with the ps3 plugged in on/off i still get this mad humming sound. does anyone else have this problem

i use a surge protector with 8 connections, if the playstation is even plugged in (not on) i will get a buzzing sound when watching my cable through the scart. ps3 is connected by hdmi. i will try the ps3 on a seperate connection when i get her off the telly. i dont know much about electric but i think its either earthing or there must be something magnectic

no, it doesnt happen with the wii.360 or dvd player only when the ps3 is plugged in
