Seem to see a lot of misinformation looking it up...
TLDR got a 500GB pci-e 3.0 nvme m.2 Samsung I'd like to put into a sata 2.5" hdd internal enclosure to be able to plug into an old macbook... Can it be done?
It's just a normal length nvme m.2 that you'd use as main storage in a motherboard that i've got spare, I figured if I can get an enclosure to convert it into a 2.5" hdd then it saves me buying a 500gb 2.5" sata3 drive (as I by fluke could do with this size storage to replace whats in said macbook currently)
From what I see on ebay everything but what I've got will fit, but it's all broken english from Chinese sellers, so I've no idea what to believe as some say it'll work some say it wont, some call one type of m.2 one type some the other...
If not does anyone literally want to do a straight swap and I'll put it in the marketplace?
Cheers!
