Anyone have any idea when huxley is going to be out? Im desperate to dump SOE games as Ive just been suspended from PS for apparently running a third party application to modify the game mechanics which is wrong as Ive always been dead against the whole hacking thing! Ive been willing to supply them with a full process list and every EXE on my drives but they are so automated in their responses. So I am desperate to find another MMOFPS.

Wouldn't bet on Huxley being a Planetside beater. From what I've read it'll have a similar structure to guildwars - only the common areas are mmo - the actual battlefields are max 64 players. Looks promising, but there's nothing on the horizon that's quite like PS, more's the pity

A modern day version of Planetside would be amazing, BF2 type setting but Planetside type gameplay.

Huxley appeals but im not sure it will deliver, stuff I've seen makes it look like UT with a lobby you walk around.

way back when, just before PS came out i was bored at work and started designing a game.

Idea was basically planetside, except cross it with Escape from New York/Escape from LA.

A huge real life city turned into the worlds biggest prison, you can play different roles within the game, you can join a faction/gang or try to go it alone.

Items such as food. medical supplies, weapons and ammo are sent into the city on regular occasions and its up to the gangs to get to the drop off points and fight for the supplies etc.

Had a few good ideas for it but never developed it further. Perhaps i should go back, finish the design and see if a developers interested? I think technology has moved along enough to make this realistic now.

nah huxley is deff a PS beater, all they have to do is support huxley and it wins already cause every PS player no's Sony disgraced a great a game by being complete morons on the dvelopment side.
