What exactly does TMPIN2 read as I've seen some very high temps from it of late, the highest being 114'c after benching at 3.8ghz.

Specs in cpu-z in sig.

I was wondering the same thing too. I think i figured it out (well on my mobo) it seems to be the main heatsink block (northbridge). It pretty hot it about 70C on mine

Check my post here

Certainly for me it not a dead sensor. On my mobo it reading the northbridge heat sink temperature.

I'm having the same issue.. my TMPIN2 reading, whatever it is, is sat dead on 128degC and hasn't moved in the last 30 minutes despite me switching the system between idle and load.

Is there a consensus that TMPIN2 is a dead sensor in AMD chips/mobos? Can't seem to find anything definitive online. Had me worried when I first saw it!!
