Does anyone use Hyper OS - It has received good reviews in Micromart recently. The software site mentions it has a few compatibility issues with certain software/hardware.

Has anyone used this software and discovered any other issues worth mentioning?
Does it retain the same speed as the original installation of the operating system?
And is it easy to use if you've never used it before?

I am planning on the trying the 'one click' version with XP, Vista.

It looks like a trumped up bootloader.. £40 for something I can do with Grub, or bootmgr.

Not knowing what HyperOS is I looked on their site. I'd link to their site but I'm not sure if it would be considered a competitor.

Long story short I don't get it.

The "HyperOS 2009SE" just sounds like virualization. You can get that with VMware Server for free.

To be honest the whole site looks like it's aimed at wannabe power users who don't really know what they're doing. Personally my advice would be to stay clear and save your money. I wouldn't trust that software on my system and the functionality it seems to be offering you can get elsewhere for very little or nothing.

Looks like VMWare or similar. However, if the quality of the sales pitch on their website is in any way representative of the quality of their website, I'd steer well clear.

Their pitch seems to overlook needing an underlying OS to run this all out of, as well as the loss in performance you get with virtualisation.
