Hyper-V networking confusion

Hi,

I've set up a Hyper-V VM with Rocky Linux and Nexus Repository Manager which is working fine in the VM but I'd like to access this from the host OS and other systems on my LAN.

What is the best way to achieve this?

Do I need to use Hyper-V external virtual switch?

Thanks this worked. I was a bit nervous of trying that as a previous attempt on a different machine messed up my internet, think a windows update messed it up.

Just had to open a port and had already set the server up with a better hostname using <servername>.home.arpa as per RFC 8375. Also discovered the IP > DNS > Static option in Mikrotik to map the domain name to the static IP of my VM for a nice setup.
