its only good for high IOPS.
in most cases you're better off with an SSD
quite overpriced too especially when you buy the RAM/flash required for it.
 
This product pops up about once a month. I bought the Gigabyte iRAM about 5 years ago and used it once as it was pointless as you could only cram about one app and one game plus win xp onto it (8gb). If they managed to make another one of these but made it SATA3 with DDR3 and say 10 slots and included and a UPS then it would be worth doing. But just as SSD's have changed the face of hard drives, future gens of SSD will be faster and larger for less potatoes.

The future is looking very exciting.
