turning off HT does wonders for most games that really utilise a quadcore. HT mimics 8 cores, but it also cuts you speed in half. a 4ghz 4core 2600k will become a 2ghz 8core 2600k. bf3 benefits more from a fast quadcore than a weak octocore

i wish they would hurry up and bring a patch or new drivers as this is doing my nut in..

It was the first thing i tried... Fresh installed the new betas. then rebooted with hyper threading back on and jumped in a game and the stutter was there very noticeably. Rebooted with hyper threading back off and jumped in a game and smooth as butter. So it seems that the new beta nvidia drivers didn't do anything for the hyper threading issue. Or at least my i7 930 @ 4.0...... As for the drivers tho. They seem to work really well with my 280gtx sli tho... better performance and no more shadow bugs![]()
Well, if your experience is better with ht off then leave it off. Me, i have ht on with the i7-860 and gtx 580 1.5gb, have tried on and off and no difference. Maybe you have high pingyep there working well with HT off for me its now smooth with the new beta drivers..not tried with HT back on yet...
