Hey, I was wondering on avarage how long I should expect say a WD Blue ssd to last if it's got a Hypervisor running on it doing a moderate yet constant load of read and write. Is 10 years of webservers and plex realistic?

Thanks.

Hi Cooler,

Consumer SSDs such as the WD Blue are not designed to soak up relentless writes. For example, I believe, the 500GB WD Blue is warranted to take up to 200TB of writes. So, how much data will your application write?

One can monitor the life left using the WD SSD software. If this is a mission critical application I feel you would be better off using an Enterprise SSD.
