HyperX Savage 120GB SSD Issue

Morning. I was asked by a friend to put a PC together with all the components that he would supply. Every thing arrived from OC, all went well in the build. But,as soon as we try to install Window 8.1 and 10 (we tried both) on a brand new SSD (1 in title) . After its makes the recovery , system and the one Primary Partitions, all we get is:-

"Windows setup.
We couldn't format the selected partition [Error:0x80070057]" (this is the primary)

We tried multiple things, delete everything it make, let it create everything again for a couple of hours, even formatting the drive "DISK PART" etc, on my machine, but still no dice. I even went as far as using a HDD just to see if any of the cables were damaged but windows installs on the HDD no problem. So that rules out the cables.
Any idea please guys as I have no hair anyway and I'm losing more over this

The build consists of
Gigabyte X-99 SLI
Intel i7-5820K
16GB Kingston Predator (3000)
HyperX Savage 120GB SSD
Asus GTX 980 Poseidon
SuperFlower FX 650W
In a Fractal Design Arc XL Tower Case
the bios has been updated.
