Hi everyone,

I've just join but hope you all maybe able to help.
I have a intel i7 system running the following:

Asus P6T SE MoBoard
Intel i7 920 chipset
12 gb DDR3 Corsair 1333 Ram (6 x 2gb sticks)
Sapphire 4890 1gb card
psu 850w
500gb hard drive - I cheaped out lol
4 cooling fans
windows vista 64

Now I know nothing about overclocking and the machine was made to run adobe cs4 only really, though I have res evil 5 and gears or war on it now lol!

Anyway i have some issues (Well they may be?) and would like some advice.

1) Should by ram be running at 16 - 20% when idle and the core at 2 - 7%
2) Should my GPU be running at 57c and at fan speed of 23% when idle?
3) Will buying windows 7 make life better for me?
4) Should I try to over clock this thing and if so could anyone give me a hand or will I need to get any new parts like a different moBoard?
5) Do I need to go and get a ati 5900 anytime soon, which I hope to god I dont after looking at the price?

I'm really wanting to keep this thing as cool as can be, the case is a thermaltake sopario Case I have and I'm wondering i I ca lower the temp will the ram drop in the power its having to use?

I relly hope some of you may be able to help here,

Thanks ^_^

1.) Sounds fine. Your RAM figures are likely how much is currently being used?
2.) Mine run quite a lot cooler than that, but are newer tech. Doesn't sound too bad.
3.) Depends whether your current OS is 64-bit or not – you may not be getting the most of your RAM otherwise.
4.) Having 12GB of RAM makes overclocking a little more tricky but you should still be able to boost it quite a bit.
5.) No. :P

cool, cheers for info there.

One thing I have noticed it that the processor goes to 20% then windows and everything boots but then drops to 2% and when viewing some video on the net it goes to 11% - is this normal?

Cheers,

Gauron
