I Accidentally Started a Business 2 Weeks Ago...

True, but seeing as you've likely got a name for yourself within the expat community you could likely expand to non-seasonal stuff. Probably nowhere near as simple but still, the fact that you have built it pretty much without trying suggests there might be many other untapped opportunities. I do appreciate the scaling factor though, less than £10 profit on an advent calendar is nice but it's still only less than £10 per sale, and high volume stuff is impossible for individuals without some sort of dropshipping.
Yea, this is it. It's got to be high volume for it to be worth it and I don't think the volume will be there to step it up to the next level of revenue I would want for the work. Low volume, high ticket value stuff is where I think there will be more of a step up, but typically to get up to that level I'd need more upfront capital.

I'll definitely do Easter. I think that'll be an easy one, but eggs are quite hard to ship (box size means more cost for shipping, so need to iron out a good value solution) so will see how that goes. As it stands I have 2.5k here to make my next move.

Surprising people actually still buy calendars, advent or not. Well done for your bit of business though.

When I just started uni I used to import 'branded' clothes from China.. and sell them on eBay for more. Made about £1k profit. Still remember using Yahoo Messenger to set up my supply line with the wholesaler.

Few years before that when I was still a teenager in school I used to create my own 'promo CDs' and sell them on eBay. Cleared about £2k.

Both ventures ended up being shut down by eBay/Paypal for obvious reasons ;) I really should think of something similar to make money again... but 100% legit this time :p

I used to sell Pokémon ROMs/Emulators on floppy discs at school, made a nice little profit on that back when getting the next Pokémon game was life or death.
