I Am Legend - Starring Will Smith - NOOOOOOES!

Just had a look at the story, sounds like it could be a great film if done properly. I remember watching The Omega Man as a kid and really enjoying that. I assume they chose Will Smith because he's a bigger box office draw than someone like Clive Owen.

Would that twist be the same as that of (maybe a spoiler) the end of the Vincent Price version?
 
Just bought the book for this after seeing the trailer.

Hopefull get it read over the summer then prepare to have it destroyed by this movie in the winter :p

I like Will Smith though, his recent acting efforts have been great.
 
Appearing to be jumping on the bandwagon here, but I also really rate Will Smith.

Clive Owen sucks ass in comparison.
 
I really enjoyed reading the book and when I heard that a film was being made I had high hopes for it. Although I do like Will Smith this isn’t a role I can see him doing particularly well. He plays the funny action hero part well but for this film I think they need someone a bit more gritty.
