Dave recently convinced me to go to the next Vmax event and in order to make it worthwhile I had to do the honourable thing and get the car delimited, which also means I might as well get it remapped.

So currently sitting in AMD Essex's waiting room having battled London rush hour traffic to get here and in 2-3 hours should be leaving with a tweaked engine map and ready to run at the up coming Vmax event.

Any predictions on before and after figures?:D
 
Good man, he who dares wins, i think you will see 180 with the limiter off. AMD are good too :)
 
I predict it will be:

Before BHP/Torque - lolbhp / loltorque
After - lmaobhp / rofltorque
 
No VMAXing on the way home now!!

Also I never goto the post office at the weekend so pop over this way on your way back?
 
being a supercharged engine its not changing the boost unfortunately, so just fuelling etc. so expecting slightly smaller gains than that! Although they would be nice!
 
i wouldnt be suprised if they can fiddle the boost given that a lot of chargers now have electro clutches on the drive pulley

The M5 had more to go at 190 but that was sufficient for me on that particular bit of road!

Don't think the E55 will be such a top speed monster as the E60 M5 has its power all at the top end of the rev range, where you need it a high speeds, where as the E55 is more about midrange but starts to run out of breath at the top end. The M5 felt quicker at high speeds but I think thats a product of where the power is, the M5 picks up more as the revs get higher where as the E55 begins to drop off. Either way, we shall see!
 
estate shape isnt the best for pounding a car shaped hole in the air.

a full complement of undertrays, mirrors folded in, go for merc's recommended higher speed tyre pressures and off you go
 
I am planning to come along too, not confirmed yet but got the nod form 'The Man' to come along if I so wish. Off to Silverstone tomorrow in the MX-5 racer...should be fun :D
