I built a pc this week and downloaded 13 games

From reading your post it sounds like you haven't bought any of them, if you did download them from non-legit sites then that could very well be your problem, it sounds stupid but back when I was in college I couldn't afford to buy the latest releases so started downloading them and in the end downloaded pretty much every new game out.

I didn't appreciate any games because I would get another new game as soon as I saw a single review as it was so easy, once I started working I started buying my games again and started enjoying them so much more, I'm not sure what it was but I buy all my games now and I am really into PC gaming again because of it, Playing online is a nice extra too

Had the same issue as you.

However I got into clan gaming with L4D2 and TF2 and got way over 200 hours of gaming out of it.

Then I started choosing one of my many games and played it until I completed it.

In order:

Bulletstorm
Batman Arkham Asylum
Crysis
Portal
Crysis 2
Black Ops
Portal 2
Duke Nukem Forever (lol)
Mass Effect
Deus Ex Human Revolution

Now I am blasting through Borderlands, Metro 2033, Witcher 2 and Oblivion.

Basically what I am saying is choose a game, sit down and stick to it until it is complete then move onto the next one :)

Yea its a game overload. I did the same thing the other christmas in the steam sale and bought 19 games. Problem is you want to try all of them becuse you've bought them and never really give one a chance for wanting to try the next. Just pick one and stick with it for a bit.

The OP's problem is that he played World of Warcraft.

Nothing can really top that game in terms of what it 'gives' back to you, so everything feels stale by comparison. It affects quite a lot of people actually, I'm somewhat the same myself. I find I'm gravitating towards PC games that offer some sort of personal character development. It has to feel like it has good gameplay, and that you'd always feel some sort of positive feedback... hardly any of those games in the OP do.

First time I played Witcher 2 I found it pretty difficult and lost interest quite fast. Second time around I just put it on Easy which made it rather simple but a lot more engaging and less frustrating. Ive also just realised it plays better with a Control pad too.

My old console days of sega and nintendo, if you i was lucky enough to get a new game i would play it to the death even if it sucked :P

This always happens to me when I buy a few games at once. Can never get into one in particular because as soon as you get slightly bored (which you always will in a game) you start thinking about playing a different one.

This is sort of true, if at some point in his wow history, he had the perfect gaming experience then it will be hard to reproduce. I had that then cata was released and i quit wow.

Deus Ex HR is doing well to reform me, but swtor is out soon :o

Don't buy games that are available on consoles if you don't like them.

I generally go for RTS TBS and MMORPGs on PC as you never get those on consoles. Although I also find most FPS much better.

TBH I am happy paying more for just the graphics. Just me though.
