I can remember when .........

Cars with bench seats! Nothing better than cruising around Country lanes and sliding all over the place.

Velocette 500 Venom with the fishtail exhaust. Are those legal these days?

I remember there used to be a guy who would have loads of videos in the boot of his car. He would drive to your house and you go and pick one out of the boot then he returned a couple of days later for it.

I remember when my Dad bought a VCR, was only a handful of kids who's homes had them, though it was enourmous :)

I remember when tv used to tuen off at night, and either went to ceefax or the girl on the test page.

I had my first VCR in 1981 and of course the very first video tape you had was a porno.
I was very popular at work and I used to have many parties firstly playing on my Atari 2600 console and then finishing with a porno.

I can remember when TV started at 1pm with Watch With Mother and then turned off at midnight and there were only 3 channels.

I remember when my Nan/Grandma used to do knitting

Margaret Thatcher – was president – we need another women Tbh

Pogs where all a trend at school - Still have mine :E

The thing about the 8 track cartridge is that it still has an effect on me when I hear certain songs.
Because it was a tape that looped it also had 4 distinct tracks and when the tape was coming to the end it would switch over to the next tape.
This meant that certain songs had gaps in them eg -
"So Sally can wait she said its .............click.......clickety click .......... click...... too late as we walk on by" etc.
When I hear some of those old songs my Dad used to play in the car I still wait for the clicks and gaps.

I'm only a 31 year old country boy but when we were young, you only had to ring 3 digits on the phone to your friends in nearby villages to get through.

Does that still work?
