Something is going very weird on my my PC as I am unable to install any of the Nvidia beta drivers. I get the 'this file is corrupted' message if I try to unzip any of them with Winrar or Winzip or even if they are self extracting. Even beta drivers that are uncompressed I get an unpacking error during the setup. I have tried various beta drivers downloaded from various sites. Some are compressed and some are not.

I am however able to install the ForceWare Release 169.21 WHQL drivers.

This has to be oddest problem I've had with my PC.

Sounds like a RAM or hard drive error. Try memtest.
This is becoming a vicious circle. I need to write a bootable memtest cd, but to do that I need CD writing software which I do not have installed as I use the XP one. I downloaded a trial version of Nero and guess what, I can't install that because I can't unpack it.

I ran Orthos for an hour and a half to test my CPU which was fine - does that test the memory?

I do not know if the unpacking issue is connected to the problem I am having with a new Graphics card (may not be the card) where I am getting blue screen shut downs while gaming, with the message 'IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL'

I suspect this may be related as they both started about the same time. Any help would be appreciated.
