Curious if anyone has had experience with the CECT P168?

Seems like a cheaper chinese copy of an iphonish style. They sell for around 70-80ish shipped on the bay so I was thinking of picking one up as my Samsung E900 is crapola and has given me nothing but problems.

il have a cect 599 shortly, just waiting for it to fly over :) il let you know what it like.

theres a few vids on youtube of them.

took a chance on a newer guy (simo080883) with only 9 or so feedback based in Britain...100% positives though and good comments. We'll see.

i think i looked at his page, i went with a chinese guy 5seller, hopefully it'll be here soon.

Yeah i wanted to stay with someone here because I need it soon. I am using my friend's mom's backup phone...an old school nokia with a Mini-mouse pink cover...it's a bit embarassing to say the least.

ElRazur got a CECT A380.

He likes it. Make of that what you will.

I don't think I could through with buying something that is such a blatant attempt at being a fake iPhone it even comes in an fake Apple branded box though.

I could care less what it's a ripoff of. I'm not really a phone guy, I just want something that looks nice, is relatively cheap, and will last me a year or 2.

I've seen how much the real iPhones cost, and frankly anyone willing to spend that kind of money on a darn phone needs their noggin checked out thoroughly.

If you use a lot of the features the iphone isnt a bad price :)

Obviously you wouldnt.

I suppose that's true...it does to quite a few things...but personally I wouldn't be able to spend that much on a phone. Maybe I'll change...I never even owned a cell phone until 2003.

If you can point out the features your paying for then that would be great.

Browsing the net over wifi using safari is a good start and something i use a lot
I use it to read my yahoo emails
I have all my favourite albums and some films on it.
I sometimes sit previewing albums over wifi from the itunes store which is great
Play games using the accelerometer or touch screen, touch touch revolution is a good example.

Theres are lots of great apps to do lots more on installer.

Most of them things can be done on other phones granted but i think its a much more enjoyable experience doing it with the lovely multi touch screen :)

Video recording app is coming to the iphone very soon.

Sooooo... all things the iPod touch does but for £70 extra (or more, if you shop around for the iPod) then.
