I did a stupid thing.

While setting up Windows 7 on my new HDD, it asked me which drive I wanted to install the OS on. Thinking I was being smart, I created a 128GB partition (or so I thought) during the set up and installed the OS on that, while leaving the rest.

Now Im actually into Windows 7...and if I go to My Computer, it only sees the 128GB I "partitioned" off. I have a 500GB 7200.12 Seagate HDD. How would I go about getting the rest of the HDD back? Can it be done through Windows or do I have to reinstall Windows?

Right click on 'Computer' and click manage.

Then use the tools there

Yeah you can do it in disk management, as above or go to control panel -> administrative tools -> computer management -> disk management and it should be obvious what to do from there.
