8 weeks of no smoking and I finally managed a 6 mile run without any stops and 5x 3 second sprints every mile.

4 weeks ago, I could do 4 miles max without stopping.

Got home tonight and fancied running a little further so would round it up to 7 miles in total, but I stopped before the last extra bit haha.

Anyway, yay for my body clearing the crap out!!!!

Thanks guys! I feel a hundred times better and much fresher in my self. Oddly, the best thing so far is smells and tastes!!! I keep walking past places I walked past every single day for the last 3 years. Such as a coffee shop and genuinely stopping just to smell the wondrous smell haha!

So yea, never picking up another cigarette, nasty smelling and harmful things.

That's a good point... Agnes i'm sure last time we spoke you were looking to build up some bulk. Although i could be wrong, there was a lot of drinking done that weekend :p

Totally right haha, however it's taken me a while to get my arse into gear chap.

So I want to work on my diet and general health. Allow my body to recover from all these years of smoke rape haha. Booked half a day today so I can go for a longggg and slow job alone the Thames. Just take it easy, at one pace. Get the heart going and keep it there. Cardio :)

Once I feel fit enough, and used to eating a regulated and healthy diet, I will start working out :)

Excellent work Agnes. As said though, start resistance training.

If you're happy doing mini sprints within your distance running, why not incorporate some press-ups every so half mile or so? That will kick start your body into accepting that it's about to get a good beasting when you do hit the gym.
Diet works better when coupled with a good resistance routine. You'll certainly notice results quicker.
Good luck buddy :)

Word of caution don't do pass ups when your running you will injure yourself mate.

Stick to running or do circuits don't try doing both at same time.
Ie do a 4 mile run then at end do press ups, just don't do them during the run.
Nice work though

 Lol, what?!

Just cos you're daft enough to injure yourself?

There's absolutely no reason why he shouldn't do any inbetween exercises. It's just circuit training.
I'd probably stay away from ab work in the middle of a run for obvious reasons.
I used to run around a park, totalling about 4 miles. After each lap i'd do pullups on the swings, and pressups. Only served to make me fitter and stronger.

Why would you say that anyway?
