With the XL half my monitor rests on it resulting in a tilt. I've had to resort to using a sticky pad to level it! That's the reason I want one of these

That is a perfect size for my Ikea Vika desk, which is already scratched to pieces. The qould cover every inch

but I would have to cut holes for the cable grommets I fitted. Hmmmm, best get a decent mouse first and then worry about it.

Absolutely. I've got a couple of rolls of the original one, and have cut it to size and shape of my desk/laptop table.
