Sorry if they annoy you, there's enough of them on here.
What I'm after is a motherboard but there seems to be too many for me to decided which to buy and which is the best for my budget.

It's for a Q6600, must be SLI ready and a fairly good overclocker. I do like Gigabyte boards, but would change that for a "better" board.
My budget isnt great mind, £80-£100.

My current board is SLI 1x16/1x8, so would prefer that over 1x8/1x8 which a lot seem to be?

Cheers guys.

Not for SLi they won't! :)

Cheapest 680i board is £135 (although there is a £129 one in B-Grade), so you're looking at the 650i boards.

As for which one, well they all look to be pretty similar. So considering you prefer Gigabyte, and that Gigabyte certainly have a degree of "provenness" in the Core 2 Duo arena, i'd go for the GA-N650SLI-DS4L.

Ive done a quick search on that mobo and it seems a bit cheap?
Not tacky cheap, just price wise, so I'm a bit uncertain?
That foxconn one sounded OK, but read couple posts on here saying foxconn motherboards weren't so good, or was I just reading pap?
I could probably push to a 680i board, if it's a good overclocker.

If you really want Sli Dr Sarf as Arcane suggests you would better to wait for the 780is. (Tri Sli and pci2)

The only other alternative if you cannot wait is a 680i for the Sli

Well SLI preferably, as I have 2 8800GTs sat here. :D
How long is imminent? I can always wait a month or so (will mean a month without a PC but ho hum).
What's the price range for the 780is? New stuff always seems to be a rip off.

I'm not really fussed about tri SLI to be honest.
For now, any more recommendations on a decent 680 board? :)

Ok Dr Sarf,

Out of my madness i hope to appear/ sound logical: As so i need to ask this question:

As you have upgraded your rig from AMD to Intel Do you intend to upgrade to the new 45nm wolfdale/ Yorkdale cores in the near future?

Probably not, but if there's a board that is future upgradable in that way, let me know. ;)
Asking a lot for my budget I know, but maybe I can find a couple quid behind the sofa :)
