``As such, the ModXStream Pro 700w is a capable power supply at 40c, but not at 45c where we make our cutoff and there are units that do make this cutoff including OCZ's own PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750. So while the OCZ ModXStream Pro 700w did not pass our parameters it certainly belongs to the group of units that were "good," yet non-passing, as opposed to the units that were just a waste of good solder.``

what's this 45c thing and does it matter here in the U.K ?.................. my room downstairs wont get to 45c and if it does, then it's way too hot for gaming anyway................they failed this unit because OCZ said that it was rated at 50c and while they were cranking up the ambient heat to reach 50c, it failed at about 44c..............

therefore this PSU is perfectly ok for me....... i think!

It does mean that the PSU probably isn't as hardy as those which passed the test. But I'd suspect it's only likely to become a problem if you're pushing the PSU very hard. Those tests would be done in a hot case with the PSU pushed to its maximum output, which isn't a common circumstance.

yes, plus my case is well ventilated

my guess is this OCZ will be ok to buy
