I don't want to play Dayz, I tired it and it sucked me in so I had to stop.
I don't want to play Minecraft, I spent my first day digging a ditch which took me eight hours. My mate came in and said what are you doing? I told him I was digging some hole, he comes back eight hours later and I'm in the same spot with a bigger hole, he's likes wtf??

Guild was 2?? No way will I get that it will take over me and ruin me.

Who else avoids certain games as you know you will waste hours on them and achieve nothing?:(

I tried to avoid GW2, and succeeded at that price!

Stelly

I just don't get how tight fisted some people are!

The game took well over 6 years to develop, is beautifully epic, great fun and provides almost endless gameplay.

Even if you play for only 100 hours for the intital £50.00 or so that's 50 pence per hour played.

I don't get all the pricing complaints. Maybe it's just me!

I don't tend to avoid playing particular games that I know will suck up more of my time than others, though there are a few that I've bought in the sales but have yet to play which might qualify, such as Eve.

Well, everything now is designed to be played indefinitely, or replayed if it has an ending.

I don't think you can blame it on the game itself, but more on the player and their ability to balance the time.

The only things I could think of off the top of my head that are more difficult to play casually would be the older mmos (like wow), and perhaps minecraft.

GW2 can be played casually easily. I know because I do!
