I feel like I'm... done with gaming?

I’m not completely done with it, but I find it much more difficult to get excited for games than I used to. I only play a few new titles every year now and I’ve stopped playing military twitch style shooters altogether. There are so many CoD and Battlefield games now that I’ve completely lost interest in it.

The only games I’m planning on buying for the next year are Mechwarrior 5, Iron Harvest and Jedi: Fallen Order.

That's the other issue. Most play Battle Royale shooters until the next release which could be under a year then the last game becomes dead. Shooters are mostly fads that gets binned in under a year.

I know this is an very old thread, but just wanted to share, I took a year off gaming and only played very casual games with my kids on wii, or me and the wife would play mk11 together. I would enjoy these sessions. I need to take a break from time to time, this has been the longest break I have ever had.

Trying to get back into it, would especially like to get back into PC gaming, I don't have a rig at the mo but figured I would sign up to Shadow for a bit to see if I can get the bug back. Haven't got a clue where to start now though, should have a poke around here for a bit!

I've gone through a weird phase of wanting to play but not having the energy or desire. UNTIL, last night, I reinstalled BF5, opener it up and spent 4 hours just having mindless fun. Finally have a desire to play a game!

Well I got my mojo back recently. I built my son a PC which meant I got mine back. Then I lost my chair and desk as I had to move him to another room so he didn't annoy his sister while shouting playing games on voice comms. So I put Plan B into action and painted the office. Then bought a chair and desk. At last I had my PC back, in a space to play it, with a comfortable chair and nice desk.

My PC then died (motherboard or CPU failed) :D

So I currently have the space to play, a bit of time, my gaming mojo back... but no PC lol.

The weather has picked up and with me now been working from home the last 10 weeks I have felt my desire to play games basically at 0 at the moment.

Feel guilty when it's nice out and I don't fancy being sat in front of a screen for basically all of the day

A little update... Just before Christmas I built myself a new gaming PC. I'm still struggling to get into many games but regularly play Quake Champions now. My son is a Fortnite addict but I've tempted him to also play QC with me occasionally. So that's made it a lot of fun. He's in a different part of the house but voice comms on discord has made for some great games when we've been on the same team.

Same here. All parts on the table, modding the case and rerouting the wateecooling tubing.
My missus says my PC is more like a Lego than an actual PC, as I spend more time taking it apart.

I've just re-installed Windows and reduced my selection of games, not that interesting in playing at the moment, working from home, finish work, out on the bike, back in, have some food and watch some TV and time for sleep, rinse and repeat.

That is literally my schedule at the moment as well

Not me, some bright spark on WSGF. :)

Fixes for 21:9 and unlocked FPS.

But you're right, these options should be in the original game without the need for external fixes.

Does the higher FPS break the physics of the engine? The 60fps always annoyed me.

I've locked my GPU down to 60fps across the board now, but there were no problems at all with this game at >60fps.

I did try the mod out, but I couldn't get it to work with Gsync, so I'll just use it for the FOV which was always my biggest gripe over FPS.
