.... But how fast are they? And how much faster is the raid performance over a single raptor? Is the difference from a WD Caviar 320GB SATA-II 16MB very noticable?
I feel tempted to get a pair of raptors....

I noticed the difference, especially when copying lots of files and when installing games and programs.

Loading a level for instance on a game is a heck of a lot faster than with an 'ordinary' single drive.
I've got a couple of the old 36gbs raided as a boot drive, with progams and games installed on it, with a 250gb WD as a data drive. Can't fault the setup.
