I feel terrible...

me and the gf broke up, I would never cheat!

The reason I feel guilty is because I told her I had a gf just so I could leave easily but she most likely feels guilty about it now which is what makes me feel guilty......sorry this is rather confusing!

Thing is I feel really bad about it this morning and I dont know why, I was going to send her a message on facebook apologizing or text her but I don't want to add her to my friends or for her to have my number....I sound like a real douche

You can send messages to people on facebook without adding them to your friends list. Hide your profile from general public and the job's a good'un :p

She would still add me and I would have to reject it and then she would see me around campus and things would be very weird...

Aww why? What happened if you dont mind me asking:(

You had always seemed happy right up until now with her?

one of her friends who has always liked me told her I cheated on her (which I didn't) and there was a big yelling match which then came down to her asking me "so are you saying my best friend who I have known for 16 years is lying to me?" I just said believe what you want and that was it. women. :(

Blame it on the rebound, Get in contact. Say you haven't got a girlfriend, but you have just broken up with someone, and your feelings are still a bit of a mess.

Sorted. It's the line I've used since breaking up with mine :p

Should have gone out firing and with the Truth:(

"so are you saying my best friend who I have known for 16 years is lying to me?"
Your answer to that should have been

Yes!.

Its Strong and Alpha. Even if she screamed some more at least you would know you told her the truth and she might even possibly doubt her friend a bit.

believe what you want

It sounds like you were giving up, you didnt give any fight and didnt leave her any reason to doubt her friend. She would have walked of using what she had been told by her friend and coming up with her own conclusion.

I hope i didnt **** you off at all, just next time stand up for your self even against her friends and tell her the truth.
Even if it doesnt work at least you know you did all you could.

This is WIN BTW:)

Believe me I didn't give up that easy, she just refused to believe her friend would lie to her, I even went round to her friends banging on the door demanding an explanation but she just denied all knowledge of what was going on.

eventually I got fed up of hearing the same argument and in the heat of the moment just thought I really don't need to be dealing with this.

I think I also feel guilty because I've started to really like another girl too and I feel that I have betrayed her as well, even though she does not even know I like her. Man im messed up :p
