I genuinely want it to cool down tonight!

my rooms about 6ft by 9 or 10ft, after 10pm when people goto bed i have to keep my door closed while playing games (i talk to teammates on ventrilo) the second my door closes my 22" crt + pc turn this room into a sauna, the CRTs like a big heater :(

lovely and cool in here with both my window and door open though :D even without my fan on

[hugs aircon unit]

Best £100 I've spent on the house in the last few years' wheels into place and a 2 hour blast before bed keeps the room cool enough to go to sleep for the night. Get yourself to Homebase.

Which one did you get? £100 seems very reasonable and i hate the heat!

Tell me! Tell me! :)

Hmmmmm I'm not sure thats an actually air conditioner is it? Look like a heater and one of those fans you can put ice in. Tbh I'm not sure, my one will cool a single room with the door closed very nicely.

Spawn how hot does it get in Oakville over summer ?

Oooh depends really, around june/july time it gets around 35-40c quite easily. The problem there is that it is HUMID as hell, soon as u step out the door you literally drip in sweat and smell like a fish:p..Even driving the beemer convertible that my bro owns doesnt help that much...it can get quite suffocating at times.

August time its still quite hot but not as humid, well when i was there last year it was quite nice tbh.

Thanks. You think this'll do the trick as well..?

edit..dont know why that didnt go in as a clickable link.

NO! Do not get one of those!!!!!!!!!!

I had one before I just bought my proper air con unit. That thing absolutely sucks and is a complete waiste of money. It actualy heats the room up...
Go to your local hombase, they have their own one and I think some people have got it for around £149.
DO NOT get an "Air cooler" they are basically fans but cost £100. A proper aircon unit has a hose that goes out the window that blows the hot air out.

We had our fan blowing on us all night with the duvet off. Didn't help, totally sweltered. It's just too muggy to sleep unless you have air conditioning.

random tip (of gmtv phwaorrrr lol) "spray water on your bed" it helps in cooling you down lol

Thing is you just get used to the cold weather and then BLAM its 30c for 3 days straight and everyone melts.

I have gotten used to the heat somewhat now thanks to my huge fan blowing fresh air in from outside (too hot to sit outside tbh).

Edit:

Wednesday's predominant weather is forecast to be light showers.

20°C/13°C max/min.

YEY!!!

well infact insualtion will cool your house in the day time, by absorbing heat. but at night it will warm your house by emitting it

no, thats concrete (you are thinking about some desert buildings thats made with rocks, and they get like 5c at night), insulation just keep the 2 side apart as much as possible. It keeps the heat from going through from one side to the other, it doesn't store it.
