WTH???

It's widely known amongst my circle of family and friends that i'm a wuss when it comes to spicy-hot foods.
Anything spicier/hotter than a tikka masala and something inside me falls over.

I have literally just now eaten a chicken pattie frome the cob van. It was delicious, but spicy.
Whenever i put the pattie near my mouth to take a bit, i go cross-eyed and sometimes a bit dizzy.
Seriously.... my eyes go all over the place.
This is the same with home made chilli if the mrs puts a little too much spice in it as soon as the fork gets to my mouth, my eyes go haywire. I can still eat it and have no reaction to it other than feeling like a volcano has erupted in my mouth.

It's totally weird.
Anyone had/have similar experiences?

You haven't built up your immunity.
As you. Eat more, your body gets used to the spice level, so you require more heat to get the endorphins flowing. Hence it's addictive propaties.

As an early teen even things like korma blew my head, now my spice level makes my flat mates cough and spluter just from the fumes, even if they're not in the kitchen.

I believe those symptoms indicate the possibility of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome. Do you have an unusually small head?

Weird. I know people who are completely soft when it comes to spicy food, but I've never seen this before.

Lol, thanks for the informative comments guys.
I forgot to mention, sometimes i'll get hiccups to. The pattie i had the other day left me with hiccups. I can tell when i'm munching on it that i'm going to get hiccups, so i stop eating for a few mins so the build up goes away.

Lol, it is strange i have to admit, i'll maybe i will try and video myself eating to see if i really am going cross-eyed or if its just a feeling, but my eyes definitely go haywire.
