I got suspended on WoW for calling someone gay?

This has utterly put me off ever considering playing World Of Warcraft.

it feels so much better having my guild mates say they've gone through worse now.

I felt the same as you, so many people moan about the game. Go on the official forums and you'd wonder why anyone plays it.

I haven't found it addicting but it's enjoyable. You should just try it, it could be a lot worse
 
I should probably try and curtail the bad language in online games - it often gets me in to trouble. Strangely enough, I'm hardly renowned for it in reality.

Probably should have been banned for using the yell command to bellow the worst swear word imaginable in the middle of Ogrimmar. I did, on the otherhand, probably get an imaginary black mark against my name by many people who witnessed the 'disturbance'.

(I was fuming at the notion of being MC'd by a PVP Alliance Priest standing in the middle of Ogr and being promptly ganked by several other horde members protecting it) :(

EDIT, and they also insulted many times before I retalliated.

hell I use the term "gay" near everyday and I'm 26, but as they say the older blokes get the more childish we get ( well thats my excuse... whats yours :P )

My friends use the term gay, no-one takes much notice, apart from one friend who we constantly wind up cause he would much rather spend time talking to the wives than play scalectrix with us need I say more...
 
Well lesson learnt. Just try to refrain hitting to Chat key (whatever it is) and Typing it in. Try other stress releif methods like punching the screen or kicking the computer if its on the floor but NOT if its a custom pc :p
 
im on aerie park a lot, all times of the day and night and ive yet to come across any racail/sexual orientation/overall abusive comments on there. so not all the servers are like that. the general feeling of the server is great and id deffinately give that particular server a thumbsup Úlfhednar if you still fancy giving it a go mate. im sure others will say the same about different servers too btw
