Am i the only one who feels they missed out by being born too late? I would have loved to have grown up in the 60's/70s. The 80's was cool (mainly for cartoon's), but the world just seemed more my sort of place back then....

Why?

You'd be closer to the grave, live each day and don't have regrets, plus you can watch re runs of old tv shows.

Myself, I was born too late, to a world that doesn't care :D

I sometimes feel the same way, I wish I had been born in the early 70s so I could have grown up in the eighties and been old enough to go see bands like the Smiths, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, G N' R, REM, Smashing Pumpkins, the Cure, Stone Roses and U2 all at their peak.

See i feel i was born to early, I wanna be in the time with the computers built into the brain and internet access anywhere.

Ill probably be dead when all that comes out, oh and living in space.

I don't feel like I missed out, but I do love 80's music with a passion.

Push it to the limit!!! :p

No way! Everything is better now, its such a myth that it was better then. We have never had it better imo.

The mid 90's for me were amazing, the music was amazing too.

I don't mean it in that way, more the atmosphere. I'd have liked to have been a part of the scene that was emerging, the music, the style etc.

Walk along the razor's edge

I would pay every last penny I have and give 5 years of my life to see ONE U2 concert from 1987 live.

60s and 70s suck from what i have seen on tv and heard about it. The 80s  was the time to be man - Thriller, new edition, voltron, lego blocks, the fashion sense, the hairstlye, the innocence about it...it was the best time ever....the massive cellphone, the advance in technology, the gumlike make up....i miss the 80s.

EDIT
Oh lets not forget that 80s gave us gangster rap (or laid the path fo gangsta rap)

80's were good we had all new music with acid house and hip hop which was good in them days and electro, now it's just the same old music day after day.
Always remember mate getting a video recorder and going round to see rocky and thinking wow but now when you see new technology it doesn't have the wow factor

born in '75, perfect if you ask me. Enjoyed the 80s and 90s, much amusement to be had in both decades :)

The same as my good self, was absolutely perfect for acid house, raves, rap & baggie madchester :) I'm still recovering now tbh...

Not at all, I belong right here right now.

To think anything else is sheer silliness IMO.

U2 + Lou Reed + Pogues, - Wembley Stadium , London. - 13.06.1987

I was there :p

Good, but not worth 5 years of your life.

The Jam - Final concert / December 82 / Brighton Centre.

I was at that one and that would definatly been worth 5 years of your life. :D
