I hate couriers

Took the day off today to wait for my new rig to arrive via city link, and no sign yet. Ive heard too many stories about couriers not ringing the bell, just putting the note straight through the letter box, so every time I hear a car door shut Im at the window!

Man, I may as well have not wasted a day off as i could have left work at 4. :(

I hate couriers!
 
We have problems with our couriers at work too. Some don't even stop to card the address if it looks like nobody is in :mad: Still, we've changed couriers now.

I'm the same if I'm waiting for a delivery though, always at the window if I hear anything bigger than a car drive past :p

Ive never had any trouble with city link, they usually come in the morning but the last item i ordered from ocuk it came at about 5pm.

Oh, does anybody else get nervous about going to the toilet when waiting? :p

That happened to me once. I'd waited in all day and was kind of "holding" on just in case they turned up. In the end i admitted defeat and had to retreat to the toilet to be faced with the "knock knock knock" on the door.

/Cue Panic.
 
Amtrak usually deliver to me at a stupid hour of the morning, alright if its a week day and i'm up for work but a real pain at weekends :(

One company delivered last week, pulled up outside, walked up my path stuck a note through the door and walked back to his van, i had to shout to him from an upstairs window, if i hadn't seem him walking up the path i wouldn't have even known he had called. Turns out that if they have to re-deliever they charge the sender an extra amount.

City Link are alright though, only had a few parcels from them but usually turn up without a problem.

The fools at the shop forgot to put in the x1800xl! :mad:

Serves me right for not shopping with OCUK I 'spose, but hey!

Eeek, that leads me into an interesting dilema: What would be more painful; trapping it in the lettebox (old style heavy letterbox) or getting it in the zipper? :o :eek:

The store you ordered from doesn't sound a bit like ebay does it?, there a bunch of fools and are always cocking orders up, thats why i order from OCUK whenever possible.

Nah not fleabay but another one starting in 'e'. I would have gone with OCUK, but they didnt stock all the products I wanted, and balls to taking two days off for courier deliveries!

I logged it with the company and asked them if they would upgrade it to an X1800XT and include saturday delivery as well for free, do you think they'll do it? :)

More importantly, why, upon hearing the knock at the door, would you stick your wang through the letterbox?! I'm dreading that your answer will be "Why wouldn't you?!".

I was thinking the same :/
How on earth do you get your pecker stuck in the letterbox? :p
 
city link always deliver in the afternoon for me and, around 2pm delivered by the sam guy, always, which is a good time, i know they wont ever deliver earlier yet i still wake up early and sit infront of the window waiting for them to arrive. i prefer special deliv though as all my delivs are here before 7am, always delivered by the same polite guy
 
Glad you got your bits, tell us if you do get the free upgrade :cool:

How about when the company only states 2-3 days, and says they can't tell you which one it is because it's coming from the manufacturer/supplier :(
