So basically, my system has a push-pull setup on a 120mm rad intaking from the back of the PC, and it would result in a substantial ammound of dust buildup. So to prevent this, I bought a silverstone magnetic filter to go over the outside of the case. It was completely hopeless and the dust went right through it.

I then bought a DEMCflex magnetic filter to replace it as they are supposed to be amazing, and using it increases my temperatures by about 8°C which is absolutely ridiculous!

So unimpressed... Is there an alternative which is a happy medium..?

Filters? Doesnt everyone just take the vaccum cleaner to their computer every no and again or is that just me? Mine even has a computer cleaning attachment with a brush on it :)

you will be amazed what some good fans will to for your cooling and filtering. ;)

Get something that has a decent static pressure rating.

My current fans have a good SP rating, but to achieve their rated SP, they need to be on full whack, and because they are cheap, that's very loud. So they are on speed 2 of 9. (which is all my ears can bear)

Its deffo not the filters, like has been pointed out already its probably your fans not being upto the job.

I also use Demciflex filters on the front, top and rear and their is no difference between temps when they are on or off, my front and top fans are 200mm Megaflow fans, my rear is a 140mm Phanteks fan, i also have a push pull setup on my air cooler using 2 x 140mm Phanteks fans.

I hoover the case occasionally and also hoover and clean the filters which is important as they don't half get covered in dust, more than you would think.

As others have said it's definitely your fans. On my case on the front intakes I have filters sat behind the fans (I can see my fans). I'm using AF120 Quiets and they push air through the filters no problem and they're only running at 600rpm

Home user fan specs are notoriously inaccurate. Commercial use are more accurate in their specs. Their buyers have testing equipment. ;)

I used the filters that came with my coolermaster case but the fans are apaches so dont have any problems.

Like was said before. Get some decent fans.
