Doesn't mean racism is acceptable FnG, not under any circumstances.

So do you believe that recognising race in a negative context (purely as an adjectival aside) is an act of racism?

For example...

"I was mugged last night by a black man" - is this racist or just an account of the facts?

It's like when William Hague was accused of sexism in the House of Commons when he referred to Cathy Jameson as a "stupid woman". Petty, yes. Insulting, undoubtedly. Sexist? Bit of a stretch if you ask me. She is a woman after all and it wasn't a generalisation.

Careful, K-2. You'll deeply offend someone. Then there will be a petition and it'll be on the news from reporters stalking the internet and twitter. Mass hysteria.

What you need to do is get some speakers. Put them to the floor like facing down towards their apartment. Wack on Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up as loud as possible on repeat. Then go to work or out or whatever.

They will soon get the message :D

Have you tried, you know, talking to your neighbours? I've never had a problem couldn't be solved by having a word, and I have lived in some incredibly rough areas.

Regarding damp just keep going on at the landlord, hard, some of them are ******s and won't do anything until it suits them. Make it suit them.

Our flat terms and conditions say we must not disturb the neighbours so you should either speak to them nicely then report to the landlord.

Andi.

I found it funny the OP is actually concerned about the fact they shout in a "Strange language". Would it be alright if they shouted in British? Then you could eavesdrop on them at least. What about if they shout in Scots instead? You kinane understond a word abyt wot thay're seyng.

Mind you, making excessive noise is never acceptable, but it sounds like these "Ethnics" are your main problem, not what they do.

By the way, culture sometimes is related to the noise, for example, Arabs speak very loudly.

....hang on your parents let you stay at their house still? WHY DID YOU LEAVE, free food, free laundry, free bedroom and bed. Best hotel on the planet.

On a serious note, i hate leaving my parents house for more than a few days other than for Holidays. I dont have autism or ocd or ...etc so for someone who does, i can't understand what it is like and i am not looking forward to University if i have to move to go to one.

Small suggestion, have you got any mates which you can move with i.e get an apartment together and try to get used to living like that and then after a while either stay like that or get your own place. Sort of small steps? that's what im planning on doing when i leave the house

I can understand the attraction to continue living with parents etc. for the very reasons you stated above, but you seem absolutely terrified to leave the house? :/

Edit: btw i love the use of Ethnics, if it were my i would be a racist as possible if they were ****ing me off by being noisy ****ers

...ahh now I see why you're afraid of leaving the house. This is the very problem with the world. Such an immature outlook on things.

Haha! I love that song. Summer morning music. Oh yes!

No, you want real torture.

Replace "black man" with "white man" and "stupid woman" with "stupid man". The statements sound a bit odd now, because there is a subtle form of discrimination in the original form. We can even make the "white man" form sound racist if we imagine it came from a Japanese man living in his home country.

The tendency to describe the mugger as just "black", rather than making a more accurate description such as "tall/short, slim/well-built, black man" , shows repressed racism. Similarly, William Hague could have just used the word "stupid" and the message would've been the same. He added the word "woman" due to his repressed sexism.

Regarding the OP, mentioning that his neighbours are "ethnics" has no bearing on his report so, again, xenophobia or racism are lurking around the corner.
