From the teachers perspective, that'll be moi, I can see how she might be judging you so harshly.
In a lot of my older classes, some of the students are quiet, never get involved and never talk. To me, the students or even themselves if they're that way inclined.
This raises issues with me when I have to mark their papers or term reports, because if a student does not have it in him/her to stand up and make a point that they want to learn, they are learning and they enjoy the class then I see no other option than to give them a low score in areas of the reports that I must comment on their classroom behaviour and involvement.
I have one student who is always getting 100% in every unit I teach, but he never talks, never gets involved and always keeps himself to himself. I try to get him involved and I have tried speaking to him about it, but my Chinese isn't good enough to really get my point across to him. Thus, I have no option but to give him a low grade when it comes to areas in which he needs to get up and talk.
But then, I am teaching English as a foreign language to Chinese people, so I guess this somewhat differs to the situation you're in.
The only solution I can offer you is to get more involved with the class. Teachers love the students to talk, as long as it's about the subject at hand and not about how drunk you got at the weekend.
If this fails, then I can only gather that she, like many foreign teachers at my school, is just a heartless fat ***** who needs to get up, get out and think about working somewhere else. For her benefit and for the benefit of the students.
I always ask for student feedback in order to improve my classes and make the learning experience a better one. Try speaking to her directly about the issues you have.
Best of luck!
