i have 2 hard drives

ones a sata2 drive, and ones an orginial sata hdd.

which drive should i install windows on? Which should i install my games on? Where should i put my page file? Which is better for as a storage drive?

Would have thought storage would have been best on the SATA drive as it doesnt matter about access speed.

The other 3 things put on the SATA II drive, as would have thought the extra access speed would be beneficial.

And should always put your pagefile on a seperate disk if possible. Cuts down the access times for both drives. Means they are not both looking for the same info on the same drive.

Hmm interesting

C: 80GB, Just OS drive, single partition. Page file on here 2GB
D: Games,320GB
E: Backup and data drive. 250GB

Would it be better to put page file on E:? If it's on D: during gaming Page file will be used, slowing HD down. But E: doesn't have data which are "HD intensive" except when writing a DVD, which is negligable.

I would stick it on E then. But dont take my word for it. It probably wouldnt make much difference except in benchmarks.
