probably 1070ti, go used if you cant find new for that price.

1070 also an option but I wouldnt pay more than £300 for a 1070 so would be used also.

I'm really tied between the a 1070ti and spending £40 more on a Vega 64. I say £40 more because the Vega comes with AC Odyssey ( :eek:

I spelt that right first time?!) which is a likely buy for me at 50. This seems to give a reasonable performance increase!

Seems to me your budget is fluid...

Get a 1080ti at 579 and be done with it for the next two or three generations...

I did it. I went with the 1070ti in the end for £365 delivered - I can't quite stomach spending £400+ on a gpu, especially a hot loud one. I want a cooler quieter GPU for a change! Thanks for the help, GPU section.

What reviews? Assuming those reviews are not using the reference card or the faulty Strix?
Because you cannot buy the former, and madness to buy the latter, if you do not plan to replace the VRM thermal pad....
So show me an LC, Red Devil, Nitro+ review where the V64 is slower than any V56.

How about buy a vega 56 flash it with a 64 bios and have 96% of 64 performance for free. I have had a 56 flashed with 64 bios since release and it's been a brilliant little card.

Big thread bump!

This card has now died and I am 27 days from the warranty expiring. The competitor I bought the card from doesn't seem to have issued me an invoice (or it went into the junk folder and deleted itself), and I appear to have bought the card without making an account (using Paypal as my account kind of thing). I wonder if EVGA will accept the return...

Just contact the retailer and they should send you a copy of the invoice by email. Then use that to rma it with evga.

Yeah that's what I've done. Luckily I've got the Invoice number from PayPal. It seems Evga won't do an RMA without first doing general technical support. I hope this doesn't drag out over 27 days! Are EVGA generally good? I'm pretty sure they used to be...

EVGA are good with their RMA process. Don't know if they'll have stock of your current card so you could get an upgrade but seeing how things are nowadays it'll probably be more economical for them to repair it.

EVGA is really good with warranties and will honour it as off the day you requested the RMA..

You could also register with them, register your card via the serial number, place and date of purchase and for €20 extend your warranty for a further 2 years or €40 for a further 7 years (10 years all together)

Do that before you RMA it as the warranty will carry over to the replacent card!
