probably 1070ti, go used if you cant find new for that price.
I'm really tied between the a 1070ti and spending £40 more on a Vega 64. I say £40 more because the Vega comes with AC Odyssey ( I spelt that right first time?!) which is a likely buy for me at 50. This seems to give a reasonable performance increase!
I did it. I went with the 1070ti in the end for £365 delivered - I can't quite stomach spending £400+ on a gpu, especially a hot loud one. I want a cooler quieter GPU for a change! Thanks for the help, GPU section.
Yes I got the EVGA 1070ti SC Gaming Black editionHope you got the EVGA one

That's an interesting idea, they are not much more expensive. I see in some reviews the 64 performs worse than the 56. Is that a bug that has been fixed? I was hoping, for once, to avoid buying a hot card! (I've had 4890, 460, 7970, 390x...) So How hot do these cards run - I remember they were offered with closed loop water cooling at one point?! This one has a very beefy cooler.

The problem then becomes, If I'm spending £450, a 1080ti is only £130 away... oh this happens every time
I think you got about the best deal you can in this market. That's about the sweetspot price/perf that I would usually go for.Yes I got the EVGA 1070ti SC Gaming Black edition

Yeah, newNew?
Big thread bump!
This card has now died and I am 27 days from the warranty expiring. The competitor I bought the card from doesn't seem to have issued me an invoice (or it went into the junk folder and deleted itself), and I appear to have bought the card without making an account (using Paypal as my account kind of thing). I wonder if EVGA will accept the return...
Just contact the retailer and they should send you a copy of the invoice by email. Then use that to rma it with evga.
Yeah that's what I've done. Luckily I've got the Invoice number from PayPal. It seems Evga won't do an RMA without first doing general technical support. I hope this doesn't drag out over 27 days! Are EVGA generally good? I'm pretty sure they used to be...
