I have a need, a need for speed!

I've always been an impatient person and the faster I can run my pc, the better. So I'm thinking about hard disks. Is there anything that I can buy for under £200 that will speed my system up significantly?

At the moment I have a 500gb Samsung HD501 as my only internal hard disk, which was pretty quick last year but I have a feeling there's better stuff out there now. Are the VelociRaptors worth bothering with....or SSDs....or am I better just keeping what I've got? Does anything give a decent speed increase?

Could go for 2 x 74GB RAID0 VelicoRaptor (or some standard SATA drives in RAID0) or wait and see what the intel SSDs bring.

Yeah, to see a decent improvement you need to look at Raptors or SSDs.
