I have an idea for a product but don't know where to start. It's not one of those things where people say they've got an idea, post it on here, then forget about it then play X3 Reunion.
I've been at this for about a year now. I've done quite a bit of research. I identified a problem. Did a bit of research on the problem. Looked around, similar devices that would solve the problem did exist but it wasn't really designed to solve the same problem im on about. It's just a fluke that it happens to solve the problem temporarily! My solution solves it perfectly and has more scope!
I hope you appreciate I will not give out a hell of a lot of information because of patents etc. Now, i'm only 18! I don't know where to start! I've not got a patent. I don't know who to approach. I don't know thing about the business aspects like you see on Dragons Den and The Apprentice such as "return" and "equity" etc.
I've got a link, a person I can perhaps talk to. He's done a lot of work in the UK. A hell of a lot of work. He is quite well known but I don't know how to appraoch him. I know he can help me because I attended one of his lectures, and he said he loves helping out young people like me. I got his contact info but i'm just scared!
Right now, i'm trying to dig out my old Business Studies GCSE book out to learn all the terms again.
I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks
Edit: I forgot to mention, i've got a working prototype sitting beside me as I type!
Edit 2: Will my age resrict me in any way during my project? I'm 18
