That document seemed difficult to follow. Basically you need to disable DHCP on the wifi access point, assign it an IP address on the same subnet as your main router, plug the wifi access point into your router via the LAN ports.
or flash it with one of the custom firmware's that are available and use the simply interface to set it as an AP. (some time you have to do this if the two routers/AP's are of different brands).
