No, he was suspended for ignoring warnings from an UB and Don that he couldn't discuss the game until next week.
 
As Davey says, it wasn't so much for the game but ignoring the requests of the UB's, Dons etc and the forum rules about discussing unreleased games (without actual proof he had a legitimate copy of the game*).




*A rule that was bought in after the number of people who had a visiting aunt/uncle/brother/cat from America/Japan/Canada/Mars who had just happened to pick up a copy of a new game early (at an airport shop that happened to put them out before release) got a bit silly.

OK fair enough BUT why cant one not discuss a game here even if it is not out? Sounds like a silly rule to me or are we not allowed to discuss it that too?

@Werewolf so will it be cool if i can provide manuals and receipt then? Im asking as i will possibly be getting a ps3 from america.

Actually El, you've also raised a good point because a lot of us were saying these rules should be stickied, Yewen failed to see the point, but of course your post regarding how unclear you are on the rules I think emphasises the fact that some rules do need stickying. But, as per the rules, now's not the time or the place.

Its all in the FAQ, and nobody reads stickies anyway.

Discussion about any game is fine, but if you're saying how wonderful a game is, when it's pretty crystal clear it's pirated (like in this case when he provided no proof, despite being able to take pictures of the screen), expect a warning or suspension.

My opinion is that while Sony are cracking down on imports, while you could legally prove you have a PS3 legitmately, discussing it here could cause problems. It's something I think the admins would discuss and make a rule on.

wow 97 people have got the game and its only been out in America for one day, DHL sure are fast.
