I recently sent back my Coolermaster 700m powersupply due to a fault which caused it to make a rather annoying high electrical sound while under load. OCUK sent me a brand new one and it's doing the exact same thing, I was curious if I could carry on using it till the ned of the month? WIll it be safe to use for that long? I'm pretty sure it's gotten louder, but seems to have settled down at a constant level at the moment.

Has anyone else with the same powersupply had this problem too? I wondered if it was a batch fault.

I'm looking to get a BeQuiet! power supply next, any good? Will be spending a good £120 on it.

Also, I decided to download Core Temp because I was curious to see the temps on my CPU -

These, to me, look high. Are they? If so, what could cause this

-Intel Core i7 920 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366)
-Corsair Dominator 3GB (3 X 1GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel
-Gigabyte EX58-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
-EVGA GeForce GTX 260 "Core 216 55nm" SSC 896MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
-LG GGC-H20L Blu-Ray Reader & HD-DVD ROM Serial ATA Drive
-Samsung SH-S223F/BEBE 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter
-Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366)
-Coolermaster HAF 932 Case - Black
-Coolermaster Real Power 700w Modular Power Supply
- WD 1tb HDD

Temps look fine, you need to check full load temps. Download prime or Intel Burn Test to check the cpu @ 100%.

My comp just crashed whilist playing WoW, turned it back on and I can hear a ticking sound coming from, what I believe is the PSU..

Currently running Prime and for some stange reason my PSU has stopped buzzing entirely, due to the program I assume, but why? It's nice not having to listen to it thats for sure!

did you buy a whole computer system including the coolermaster?

I brought the parts over a few months then built it my self. I didn't want another Coolermaster PSU and I was more than willing to pay the extra for a BeQuiet! but OCUK would only swap it for the same product.

As I have a Coolermaster HAF case you can hear the buzz more due to the billion vents on it.

It's not been overclocked either. Not sure if that would cause the PSU to work overtime? Cause that's what it sounds like to me.
