ok I am using surround sound speakers a 5.1 but everytime i restart my computer it forgets my settings and then have to plus speakers in again, would buying a sound card stop this??
I have surround sound but use on board?

try updating the onboard sound card drivers first.
when you say "forgets my settings"
where are you setting the settings, in the audio properties, or on the speakers themselves?

I tried that. Yeh realtek hd audio manager, its good when it works!
