I haz kittenz - watch them live here.

Tailed off to around 175 now

700 odd viewers now - jeez I can hardly check my email anymore!

The nest is in a dark place so I can't turn on any lights as they are a bit sensitive to light.

Here is a pic of them in their grotty nest - it does get a bit nasty with all that birthing going on in there. That place has seen 3 births in less than 2 years.

And here is mum

Lol, they were fast asleep and with 400 of you connected the refresh is slow so it didn't look like they were moving. Mum has come back after a feast for your amusement.

Hook up a buzzer or horn and make it so when we press a button it sounds off. :D

Well I do do embedded electronics, and have built tcp/ip controllable things... But no.

Maybe when they are older some net enabled toys for them to play with?

All I need now are Virgin to be nice and sponsor the kitties and give me 50MB broadband :-)

Hi,

I have been out most of the day. Glad the cam feed stayed up!

I am negotiating some bandwidth and a fast server at the moment.

Also there will be some "Poppy" merchandise which will support our local cats protection league.

Keep your eyes pealed for some updates soon.

It will go slow, patience is the key. How about I limit connections to 5 or so mins, before you have to come back?

If I get the big server sorted it will go faster.

Anyone want to be a "Friend of Poppy" and help out with the server stuff?

Currently have you got webcamXP installed onyour own home machine and what outgoing bandwidth have you got?

Where do you plan on hosting the server because remember even if you get a super server if you host it on just a broadband connection your bandwidth will be limited.

Are you on ADSL or Cable?

I am on Virgin 20Mb broadband. If I ftp the cam image to the server, won't that then handle the other connections?

Maybe Virgin should donate some speed for 5 weeks while they grow. At this rate we can't surf the net very well here!
