I just bought a...

I just bought a psp 3000 this weekend.. the reason for me not to get the psp go was the prices of the games on the store compared to the umd prices and also you can't trade your games !!!!

They aren't hugely different, only a few pounds. If you're stuck for cash then sure it makes sense to go for the cheaper option, even if its only a few quid. I just bought Vice City Stories off of there for £13. It's £14.99 in my local purple named shop.

Also with the memory card thing, Memory stick duo's aren't that expensive in the first place so it isn't as if somebody is going to be hugely out of pocket by having to pay a few extra quid for an M2 stick, not that you need to because the storage is more than ample. :)

oh serious... i didnt know that !! oh well.. im happy with the 3000 and you happy with you go so its all good :)

Looks nice bud :) But not sure I like the smaller width screen :( (Granted its "longer" though! heightwise)

It's such a massive improvement over the 1000 I was using. There's no ghosting at all, the colours are incredibly vivid and the sound has been cleared up too. Load times are almost instant and the whole thing is just a joy to use. I'm really, really happy with it. I had my reservations when I went out to the store to buy it, but all my worries are long gone after having spent an hour or two playing on the thing:D

Thanks for the comments

I had an original PSP1000 a few years ago and hated it - I sold it shortly after buying it. I didn't like the controls but the dreadful, ghosting screen, dodgy sound and huge loading times really put me off

Great to see that these have been improved on the PSP Go - same about the price though!

What's the problem with the PSP 1000 sound? Ghosting was much reduced on the 2000/3000 but I have yet to see a Go in action, not to mention that the load speeds are irrelevant as yet again if you want to you can download games to your mem stick and run them from there rather than UMD.

I'm always surprised how many of you have fat PSPs rather than slims.

I got mine on launch day. I love it, I've played it every day since I've had it (far more than my 1000 series). The point I've been trying to make in the PSP Go thread is that because it's so small you have it with you all the time, because it's with you more, you play it more.

Also I don't have an issue with having PSN only, you can get the download cards for £15 (with £20 value). Bought a few games on PSN and even picked up a 16gb M2 card for £35. 32gb storage in a PSP - don't see that in the normal PSPs!
