I could probably sell them separate, I've seen the 120GB one sell for a tenner on ebay.

and dimple, I don't get it?

Exactly. in a few months time hard drives will cost Thousands of pounds, I shall be laughing all the way to the bank.

lolBritbo.... Oh wait!

1) Buy terrible drives and wait for worlds HDD production to cease
2) Wait for uncanny numbers of HDD failures all over country
3) Put drives on fleebay
4) ?????
5) Profit?

The first thing I thought when I saw the OP was that it was britboy posting. Then I noticed the username wasn't him. Then I noticed its a new account from last month. There was another member who was banned who used to ask stupid hardware questions? I reckon the Op is a returning banned member. Tefal, we need you!

What are you really going to use such small drives for? They're cheap but still a waste of money, isn't there anyone you know thats got a spare drive of a more usable size?

1. It won't get that bad.
2. The drives you bought aren't a decent size.
3. You bought outdated IDE drives, most modern motherboards don't support IDE (but do with an adapter).
4. IDE is outdated and slow
5. The drives are that old they're probably close to dying.

BARGAIN.

I can imagine you now. Sweaty palms and weak at the knees fumbling around your wallet to muster up your hard earned cash, trying to make sense of the absolute stonker of a deal being laid before you, thinking this must be a once in a lifetime opportunity for such a great deal. "Oh wow I can't wait to tell all my chums on the internet about the super sweet deal I got on these hard drives! I'll be the envy of everyone!"

Good job!

The last 50+ computers that I've had in for repair/upgrade have used hardly any space at all.
The most I've seen on any of those computers was 30 gig and that was my sisters.
Normal users use very little drive space.

I on the other have 5TB and running out.

You can get PATA to SATA adapters so uit's quite easy to use them even if you don't have an IDE port on your motherboard. But thatnls for the heads up on your honesty as I'll never buy anything from you when you get access o the mm on this forum.
LOL. :D
Noted.
