i just got dead space 2 but i'm so disappointed

hi

i payed for dead space 2 today. installed it and ran the game. went to settings, controls , to custom them, and guess what!!! theres no way to have the walk forward on a mouse button... it makes me so mad that game companys don't make they games fully custom controls....

if they can have the fire assigned to a mouse button, surely they could have assigned the other actions to a mouse button...

so now i can't play this game and i wasted £25..

Why do you need to walk using the mouse button? Surely you can use an alternative albiet not your first choice.

As suggested though, there are other ways to map keys other than using the in game setup.

easy!!! , played crysis without issues. also other games like that.

also driving games such as f1 2010 and dirt 2 and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, using a xbox360 controller, driving controls assigned to the right analog stick.

i have a mouse,with customize buttons but it doesn't work in some games.

honesty i find it bad that i feel i have to prove myself...but lucky i'm use to all this.

forgive my suspicious nature as I'm not 100% convinced this is serious.


on the chance that it is, if you used your chin to move forward etc, how would you do everything else such as toggle aim, reload etc. - same goes for driving, braking, handbrake, etc.

my mouse as 5 buttons on top so i assign all the important actions to them including forward...

as for driving, forward, back , left, right assigned to analogue stick

hi,
get yourself a razer mouse [i have razer software, may be others]
you can map any button to any key

ie mouse 2 becomes 'W' etc

on mine i have 5 profiles so just switch profile for normal right/left click

dont know if you use a unique mouse but if not its worth a shot

i was thinking about a razer mouse but i'm not sure about the size of it and hight of it....

mate i didnt think you were being serious at first but well played, i just dont understand how you do everything with your head

nearly everything i use the mouse, for typing i use click-n-type program (on screen keyboard).

as u see in my pic, i use my chin, my chin nearly covers all 5 buttons so whatever i assign to them i can easy use. e.g forward, fire

that has 2 extra on top, i have a habu, but the extra 2 you probably couldnt get to the extra ones on top

looking at the pic they look a tad uncomfortable

seeing that i think it's slightly flat on top?

gareth170, I sympathise with what you are saying. When a game doesn't allow fully customisable controls it does irritate me also. I really don't get why the developer does it.

yeah i bought afew games in the past which didn't allow fully customisable controls . so it wasted my money and theres no where of taking them back after opened.

You should get in touch with the developers gareth and let them know your situation and also the fact that the lack of effort on thier part to make the game customisable has made it unplayable for you and other disabled people.

You never know you might just get them to re-think the lack of customisation and address it in a future patch, got to be worth a quick email.
